St. Andrews has a charm of its own with its cobble stones, the sound of pipes, the sense of history and the buzz of young students from all over the world contribute to a place that feels alive and safe to walk around.
There are many cafes and eating places and most are unique in what they offer. None more so than the Doll's House. This quaint little place is full of atmosphere and feels just right. The young staff are friendly attentive and look as if they enjoy their work (something that is sadly not so common today!).
The menu is varied and offers a choice that will satisfy all palates. We went in for the set menu for just over £12 for starter, main course and a wine or beer.
I ordered the soup which came with ample french bread - again in many places you are offered one little bit of bread! After the starter I ordered the Chicken dish, which came with fresh vegetables and a creamy mash. The sauce was incredibly tasty and the whole meal was very enjoyable. My wife had the mackerel as a starter and also the Chicken.
The house red wine was served at the right temperature and was one of the best house wines I have tasted.
All I can say is that you will not be disappointed if you eat in the Doll's House. But it is better to book first!
Well done Doll's House - I will be back.

We in events do often get requests from clients looking for an off site alternative for dinner. We do always suggest the Dolls House as our past experience shows that guests have always had a great night with you.
